Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.


Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.


David himself calls him “Lord”. How then can he be his son?’ The large crowd listened to him with delight.


When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered round him while he was by the lake.


because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him.


Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.


So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.


One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding round him and listening to the word of God.


‘Return home and tell how much God has done for you.’ So the man went away and told all over the town how much Jesus had done for him.


John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.


So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.’
