‘Can anyone teach knowledge to God, since he judges even the highest?


Why do you complain to him that he responds to no-one’s words?


Who has prescribed his ways for him, or said to him, “You have done wrong”?


All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No-one can hold back his hand or say to him: ‘What have you done?’


He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread – which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests.


Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.


All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this.


While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
