Prepare me the kind of tasty food I like and bring it to me to eat, so that I may give you my blessing before I die.’


‘They are the sons God has given me here,’ Joseph said to his father. Then Israel said, ‘Bring them to me so that I may bless them.’


All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing appropriate to him.


Then Aaron lifted his hands towards the people and blessed them. And having sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the fellowship offering, he stepped down.


And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where he spent the night.


And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.


As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples,


While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.


Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city.


After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.


Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.


Then Joshua blessed them and sent them away, and they went to their homes.
