Jesus replied, ‘Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfil all righteousness.’ Then John consented.


Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly.


‘Where do you want us to prepare for it?’ they asked.


One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer – at three in the afternoon.


While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade.


When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money.


When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realised that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.


But Peter and John replied, ‘Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges!


When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria.


James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognised the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.
