Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.


They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left.


Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, ‘We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.


The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed. But woe to that man who betrays him!’


He said to them, ‘But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.


Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard, and the elders, who had come for him, ‘Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs?


Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed.


And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.


If he called them “gods”, to whom the word of God came – and Scripture cannot be set aside –


I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.


God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.’
