I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord.


You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.


No-one will offer food to comfort those who mourn for the dead – not even for a father or a mother – nor will anyone give them a drink to console them.


And he told the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.


Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.


While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take and eat; this is my body.’

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,


When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.


As soon as you enter the town, you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people will not begin eating until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice; afterwards, those who are invited will eat. Go up now; you should find him about this time.’
