If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.’


Say to the owner of the house he enters, “The Teacher asks: where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”


If anyone asks you, “Why are you untying it?” say, “The Lord needs it.” ’


They replied, ‘The Lord needs it.’


When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.’


He replied, ‘As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters,


He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make preparations there.’


After she had said this, she went back and called her sister Mary aside. ‘The Teacher is here,’ she said, ‘and is asking for you.’


Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
