Let a righteous man strike me – that is a kindness; let him rebuke me – that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.


Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you.


A rebuke impresses a discerning person more than a hundred lashes a fool.


Better is open rebuke than hidden love.


Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you.


‘ “Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbour frankly so that you will not share in their guilt.

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.


See to it that no-one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.


My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back,


Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
