Even while you sleep among the sheepfolds, the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold.’


Though they dig down to the depths below, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens above, from there I will bring them down.


They will lick dust like a snake, like creatures that crawl on the ground. They will come trembling out of their dens; they will turn in fear to the Lord our God and will be afraid of you.

When Joshua was told that the five kings had been found hiding in the cave at Makkedah,


Then the five kings of the Amorites – the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon – joined forces. They moved up with all their troops and took up positions against Gibeon and attacked it.


Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
