His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

Resentment kills a fool, and envy slays the simple.


A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.


Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?


Ephraim’s jealousy will vanish, and Judah’s enemies will be destroyed; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, nor Judah hostile towards Ephraim.
