And quarrelling arose between Abram’s herdsmen and Lot’s. The Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time.


Then Abraham complained to Abimelek about a well of water that Abimelek’s servants had seized.


Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there.


Then they dug another well, but they quarrelled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah.


you should answer, “Your servants have tended livestock from our boyhood on, just as our fathers did.” Then you will be allowed to settle in the region of Goshen, for all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians.’
