Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees,


But as soon as Jeremiah finished telling all the people everything the Lord had commanded him to say, the priests, the prophets and all the people seized him and said, ‘You must die!


But the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that anyone who found out where Jesus was should report it so that they might arrest him.


And that is just what I did in Jerusalem. On the authority of the chief priests I put many of the Lord’s people in prison, and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them.


About noon, King Agrippa, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions.
