Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.


And the Lord said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’


For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honour, though you do not acknowledge me.


About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ‘Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?’ (which means ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’).


Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense.


Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,


While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate.


While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, ‘Simon, three men are looking for you.


Cornelius answered: ‘Three days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me


About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.


He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, “Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.


Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me


One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer – at three in the afternoon.


But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.


In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, ‘Ananias!’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ he answered.

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?


So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
