Jacob was in love with Rachel and said, ‘I’ll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel.’


So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.


His heart was drawn to Dinah daughter of Jacob; he loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her.


the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.


One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman washing. The woman was very beautiful,


Then Amnon hated her with intense hatred. In fact, he hated her more than he had loved her. Amnon said to her, ‘Get up and get out!’


Amnon became so obsessed with his sister Tamar that he made himself ill. She was a virgin, and it seemed impossible for him to do anything to her.


Three sons and a daughter were born to Absalom. His daughter’s name was Tamar, and she became a beautiful woman.


King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh’s daughter – Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hittites.


the third, Absalom the son of Maakah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;


All these were the sons of David, besides his sons by his concubines. And Tamar was their sister.


Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.


Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes.
