As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, ‘I know what a beautiful woman you are.


He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.


The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.


Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.


a servant who becomes king, a godless fool who gets plenty to eat,


A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.


She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.


In accordance with the Lord’s command to him, Joshua gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh a portion in Judah – Kiriath Arba, that is, Hebron. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.)


Now think it over and see what you can do, because disaster is hanging over our master and his whole household. He is such a wicked man that no-one can talk to him.’
