Isaac asked his son, ‘How did you find it so quickly, my son?’ ‘The Lord your God gave me success,’ he replied.


‘Are you really my son Esau?’ he asked. ‘I am,’ he replied.


The old prophet answered, ‘I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord: “Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.” ’ (But he was lying to him.)


Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me your law.


Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.


This day they will halt at Nob; they will shake their fist at the mount of Daughter Zion, at the hill of Jerusalem.
