At this, the chief ministers and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.


‘Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.


So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.


But we want to hear what your views are, for we know that people everywhere are talking against this sect.’


I speak the truth in Christ – I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit –
