And God looked upon the earth. And, behold, it was corrupted! For all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth.


And Jehovah brought on them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh among the thorns and bound him with chains and carried him to Babylon.


He also opens their ears to teaching, and commands that they return from iniquity.


I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you.


Hear advice, and receive instruction, so that you may be wise in your latter end.


What more could have been done to my vineyard that I have not done in it? Who knows? I looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded rotten grapes.


For He said, Surely they are My people, sons that will not lie; so He was their Savior.


But they did not obey, nor bowed down their ear, but made their neck stiff, so that they might not hear nor receive instruction.


They said, Turn again now, each one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Jehovah has given to you and to your fathers forever and ever.


It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I plan to do to them, that they may each man turn from his evil way, so that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.


Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, So says Jehovah, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel: If you will surely go forth to the king of Babylon's rulers, then your soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire. And you shall live, and your house.


O Jerusalem, you must be instructed, lest My soul depart from you; lest I make you desolate, a land without people.


then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, forever and ever.


I listened and heard, but they did not speak right; no man repented of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? Everyone turned in their own courses, as the horse rushes into the battle.


They have deeply corrupted, as in days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.


She did not obey the voice; she did not receive correction. She trusted not in Jehovah; she did not draw near to her God.


lest you act corruptly and make yourselves a graven image, the likeness of any figure, the likeness of male or female,


But the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned,


The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
