that the exulting of the wicked is short, and the joy of the ungodly is for a moment?


And those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Jehovah shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity; peace shall be on Israel.


They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.


Let the lying lips be put to silence; the lips which speak proudly against the righteous, with pride and scorn.


To the Chief Musician. A contemplation. A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you boast yourself in evil, O mighty man? The mercy of God endures forever.


For the sin of their mouth is the word of their lips, even let them be taken in their pride; and for cursing and the lying which they speak.


Behold, they bellow out with their mouth; swords are in their lips; for they say, Who hears?


There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and their jaw teeth like knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.


Then they said, Come and let us plot schemes against Jeremiah. For the Law shall not perish from the priest, nor wisdom from the wise, nor the Word from the prophet. Come and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not pay attention to any of his words.


Then I was looking because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke. I watched until the beast was slain, and his body was destroyed and given to the burning flame.


And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and plot to change times and laws. And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and one-half time.

Yea, he magnified himself, even to the ruler of the host, and the daily sacrifice was taken away by him, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.


But when the Pharisees heard, they said, This one does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub the ruler of the demons.


Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.


Talk no more so very proudly. Remove arrogance out of your mouth, for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.
