He will turn to the prayer of the forsaken and not despise their prayer.


to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free the sons of death;


For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those who condemn his soul.


For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise, says Jehovah. I will set in safety, he pants for it.


Surely You will slay the wicked, O God; and bloody men, depart from me.


Now think of this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.


For You are my hope, O Lord God, my trust from my youth.


He shall judge the poor of the people; He shall save the children of the needy, and shall crush in pieces the cruel one.


For He remembers them, the seekers of bloodshed; He forgets not the cry of the humble.


For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope shall not be cut off.


so shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul; when you have found it, then there shall be a reward, and your hope shall not be cut off.


He has filled the hungry with good things, and He has sent away the rich empty.


And lifting up His eyes to His disciples, He said, Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.


Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him?
