You have seen it; for You behold mischief and vexation, to repay it with Your hand. The poor commits himself to You; You are the Helper of the fatherless.


A prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before Jehovah. Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and let my cry come to You.


He will turn to the prayer of the forsaken and not despise their prayer.


Remove cursing and scorn from me; for I have kept Your testimonies.


I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted and the right of the poor.
