And it happened when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said to her, This is your kindness which you show to me, at every place where we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.


And you say, What does God know? Can He judge through the dark cloud?


He has said in his heart, God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will not see forever!


Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.


The proud have hidden cords and a trap for me; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set snares for me. Selah.


Behold, they bellow out with their mouth; swords are in their lips; for they say, Who hears?


Yet they say, Jehovah shall not see, nor shall the God of Jacob observe it.


The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them, I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.


They each one helped his neighbor, and said to his brother, Be strong.


And He said to me, Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, each man in his image room? For they are saying, Jehovah does not see us; Jehovah has forsaken the earth.


Therefore, I pray you, come now and curse this people for me. For they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall prevail so that we may strike them, and so that I may drive them out of the land. For I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.


Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you compass sea and the dry land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
