And Jehovah said to Cain, Why have you angrily glowed? And why did your face fall?


Deliver me, O Jehovah, from my enemies; I flee to You to hide me.


The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers plot together, against Jehovah and against His anointed, saying,


For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His shelter, in the secrecy of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me up on a rock.


A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom. O Lord, how my foes have increased! Many are the ones who rise up against me.


You shall hide them in the secrecy of Your presence from the pride of man; You shall hide them in a shelter away from the strife of tongues.


They stir up strife; they hide themselves; they watch my steps as they wait for my soul.


Deliver me from the workers of evil and save me from bloody men.


And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the tempest, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.


But I was like a docile lamb being brought to the slaughter. And I did not know that they had plotted evils against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, so that his name may be remembered no more.


Pay attention to me; O Jehovah, and attend to the voice of my foes.


Yet, Jehovah, You know all their counsel against me to kill me. Do not forgive their iniquity, nor blot out their sin from Your sight, but let them be overthrown before You; deal with them in the time of Your anger.


And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.


asking a favor against him that he would send for him to Jerusalem, making a plot to kill him on way.
