Then David and all the people with him arose. And they passed over Jordan. By the morning light there was not one of them that had not gone over Jordan.


And it happened when David came to Mahanaim, Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah, of the sons of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,


like the dew of Hermon that came down on the mountains of Zion; for there Jehovah commanded the blessing, life forevermore.


To the Chief Musician, on the deer of the dawn. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, and are far from my deliverance, and from the words of my groaning?


Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; yea, on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.


Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in God; for I still praise Him, the salvation of my face, and my God.


From the end of the earth I cry to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the Rock higher than I.


When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; and my prayer came in to You, into Your holy temple.


And He went a little further and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.


And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is, My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?
