And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.


In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.


And behold! I, even I, am bringing a flood of waters upon the earth in order to destroy all flesh (in which is the breath of life) from under the heavens. Everything which is in the earth shall die.


But man dies and is cut off; and man expires, and where is he?


His sons come to honor, and he knows it not; they fall, but he does not mark it.


My spirit is broken, my days are ended, the graves are ready for me.


My days are past, my purposes are broken off, the desires of my heart.


As long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,


You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.


Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He breaks the plots of the people.


You turn man to dust, and say, Return, sons of men.


then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.


Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; nor do they any longer have a part forever in all that is done under the sun.


Cease from man, whose breath is in his nostril; for in what is he to be esteemed?


The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was taken in their pits; of whom we said, In His shadow we shall live among the nations.


But you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of Heaven. And they have brought the vessels of His house before you; and you, and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver, and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see, nor hear, nor know. And you have not glorified the God in whose hand is your breath and all your ways.


But, we speak wisdom among those who are perfect; yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, that come to nothing.
