Jehovah keeps the simple; I was brought low, and He helped me.


Who remembered us in our low estate; for His mercy endures forever;


For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has beaten my life down to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, as those long dead.


Hear me quickly, O Jehovah; my spirit fails; do not hide Your face from me, lest I be like those who go down into the Pit.


A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O Jehovah; listen to my cry; Give ear to my prayer, for it is not in lips of deceit.


He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me; for they were too strong for me.


I would have fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living.


A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom. O Lord, how my foes have increased! Many are the ones who rise up against me.


And my enemies are lively; they are strong; and my haters increase by deception.


Therefore we will not fear when the earth changes, and when mountains are slipping into the heart of the seas.


For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.


O do not remember against us our former sins; let Your tender mercies meet us quickly; for we are brought very low.


I will say of Jehovah, my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust.


Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God who justifies.


But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.


After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? After a dead dog? After a flea?
