And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that You would bless me indeed, and make my border larger, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, so that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he asked.


A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, I cry to You; make haste to me, give ear to my voice when I cry to You.


Hear the voice of my prayers, when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your Holy Place.


I cried to You, O Jehovah; and I prayed to Jehovah.


A Psalm of David. A Contemplation. Blessed is the man whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.


To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A contemplation. A Psalm of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Does not David hide himself among us? Save me, O God, by Your name, and judge me by Your strength.

And he came to the folds of the flock on the way, where there was a cave. And Saul went in to cover his feet. And David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.


And the men of David said to him, Behold, this is the day of which Jehovah said to you, Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand so that you may do to him as it shall seem good to you. And David arose and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe secretly.
