nor have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion.


So teach us to number our days, so that we may bring a heart of wisdom.


to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and uprightness;


Whoever keeps the law is a wise son, but a companion of gluttons shames his father.


My son, forget not my law; but let your heart keep my commandments;


Sons, hear the instruction of a father, and listen in order to know understanding.


Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of your life shall be many.
