And the same day it happened, Isaac's servants came and told him about the well which they had dug. And they said to him, We have found water.


He who gathers in summer is a wise son; but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.


There is one who scatters and yet increases; but one who withholds just due comes only to poverty.


The hand of the hard worker shall bear rule, but the lazy shall be under service.


The lazy one does not start after his game, but the wealth of a hard worker is precious.


The soul of the sluggard desires and has nothing; but the soul of the hard worker shall be made fat.


Also he who is slack in his work is brother to a great destroyer.


Laziness throws one into a deep sleep, and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.


A lazy one puts his hand in a dish, and he will not return it to his mouth.


Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes and you shall be satisfied with bread.


The lazy one will not plow; after the autumn he shall beg in harvest and have nothing.


The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty; but the thoughts of everyone who is hasty only to poverty.


By slothfulness the building decays; and through lowering of the hands the house leaks.


Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for that food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. For God the Father sealed Him.


So that, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.
