Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness, and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against Me,


But as for you, your bodies shall fall in this wilderness.


These are those numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab beside Jordan at Jericho.


Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of those who gathered themselves against Jehovah in the company of Korah, but died in his own sin, and had no sons.


But with many of them God was not well pleased, for they were scattered in the wilderness.


But with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?


And this is the reason why Joshua circumcised. All the people that came out of Egypt, the males, all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the wayside, after they came out of Egypt.
