And again the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, Go count Israel and Judah.


And David spoke to Jehovah when he saw the angel who struck the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? I pray You, let Your hand be against me and against my father's house.


In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all flesh, even of man?


Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel among those who called on His name; they called on Jehovah, and He answered them.


then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.


For I will not contend forever, nor will I be always angry; for the spirit should fail before Me, and the souls I have made.

quietly covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.


Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?


But must you turn away today from following Jehovah? It shall be, you rebel today against Jehovah, and tomorrow He will be angry with all the congregation of Israel.
