And Jacob called the name of the place Face of God; for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.


As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with Your image.


I will bow down my ear to a parable; I will open my dark saying on the harp.


And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and became very strong, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.


You shall not make to yourselves any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.


And Jehovah would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he turned again to the camp. But his servant, Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not leave the middle of the tabernacle.


And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of Jehovah before you. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.


And I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back parts. But My face shall not be seen.


And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face had become luminous. And they were afraid to come near him.

And when Moses had gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with Him, then he heard the voice of One speaking to him from the mercy-seat on the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubs. And He spoke to him.


so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, "I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."


The one hearing you hears Me, and he who despises you despises Me; he who rejects you also rejects Him who sent Me.


No one has seen God at any time; the Only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.


No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.


If I had not done among them the works which no other did, they would not have had sin. But now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father.


For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall fully know even as I also am fully known.


But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit.


Jehovah your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, One like me. To Him you shall listen,


And never since has a prophet like Moses arisen in Israel, whom Jehovah knew face to face,


Therefore take good heed to yourselves, for you saw no kind of likeness on the day Jehovah spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire,


You shall not make a graven image for you, any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters beneath the earth.


who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all creation.


Therefore he who despises does not despise man, but God, who also has given us His Holy Spirit.


who alone has immortality, dwelling in light which cannot be approached, whom no one of men have seen, nor can see; to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.


God, who at many times and in many ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,


who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, through Himself cleansing of our sins, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high,


and especially those who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise dominion. They are darers, self-pleasing; not trembling at glories, speaking evil.


Likewise, indeed, also these dreaming ones even defile flesh, and despise rulership, and speak evil of glories.
