And Jehovah struck the king, so that he was a leper until the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. And the king's son, Jotham, was over the house, judging the people of the land.


He has made me also a byword of the peoples; and I am one in whose face they spit.


They despise me, and they flee far from me; they do not spare spit from my face.


I gave My back to the strikers, and My cheeks to pluckers; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.


And if the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight is not deeper than the skin, and the hair of it has not turned white, then the priest shall shut up the plague seven days.


And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water so that he may be clean. And after that he shall come into the camp, and shall stay outside his tent seven days.


And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,


Then they spat in His face and beat Him with the fist. And others struck Him with the palms of their hands,


then his brother's wife shall come to him in the presence of his elders, and take off his shoe from his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done to that man who will not build up his brother's house.


Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
