And he said, Come with me and see my zeal for Jehovah. And they made him ride in his chariot.


But Jehu did not care to walk in the Law of Jehovah, the God of Israel with all his heart, for he did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin.


He has scattered abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor.


And they come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words. But they will not do them. For with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their unjust gain.


Therefore, O king, let my advice be pleasing to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, whether there will be duration to your prosperity.


And it shall be in that day, the prophets shall be ashamed, each one of his vision, when he prophesies. And they shall not wear a hairy garment to deceive.


Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months, even those seventy years, did you truly fast to Me, even to Me?


For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He shall reward each one according to his works.


And Jesus said to them, Take heed, and beware the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.


But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven against men. For you neither go in, nor do you allow those entering to go in.


But they do all their works in order to be seen of men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.


And the King shall answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done it to Me.


Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.


For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax-collectors do the same?


Therefore be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.


And when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, of a sad face. For they disfigure their faces so that they may appear to men to fast. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.


Therefore pray in this way: Our Father, who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name.


And He charged them, saying, Take heed! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod.


Therefore take heed that the light in you is not darkness.


In the meantime, when there had gathered together an innumerable crowd of people, so as to trample on one another, He began to say to His disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.


And He said to them, Watch and keep yourselves from covetousness. For a man's life is not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.


And He said to them, You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.


for they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.


How can you believe, you who receive honor from one another and do not seek the honor that comes from God only?


And seeing this, Peter answered the people, Men, Israelites, why do you marvel at this? Or why do you stare at us, as though we had made this man to walk by our own power or holiness?


As many as desire to look well in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.


You shall certainly give back to him the pledge at sundown, that he may sleep in his own clothing, and bless you. And it shall be righteousness to you before Jehovah your God.


esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.


Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.


For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.


Look to yourselves, so that we may not lose those things which we worked out, but that we may receive a full reward.
