And he looked, and, behold, a cake was baked on the coals, and a jug of water at his head. And he ate and drank, and lay down again.


Do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels?


And he said to Him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down. For it is written, "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and in their hands they shall bear You up, lest at any time You dash Your foot against a stone."


And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. And He was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to Him.


And an angel appeared to Him from Heaven, strengthening Him.


When I was with you in the temple daily, you did not stretch out your hand on Me. But this is your hour, and the authority of the darkness.


And when the Devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him for a time.


I shall no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me.


And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among nations, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.


Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?


And again, when He brings in the First-born into the world, He says, "And let all the angels of God worship Him."
