And it happened one evening, David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king's house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing. And the woman was very beautiful to look upon.


And Satan answered Jehovah and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man has he will give for his life.


What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear, proclaim on the housetops.


Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains.


nor let him in the field turn back to take his clothes.


Therefore I say to you, Do not be anxious for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?


Therefore whatever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light. And that which you have spoken in the ear in secret rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
