But they were disobedient and rebelled against You, and cast Your Law behind their backs. And they killed Your prophets who testified against them to turn them to You, and they worked great blasphemies.


Keep me as the pupil, the daughter of the eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings,


How precious is Your loving-kindness, O God! And the sons of men take refuge under the shadow of Your wing.


To the Chief Musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me; for my soul trusts in You; yea, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my hiding-place, until these great troubles pass by.


Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.


He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust. His truth shall be your shield, and buckler.

But I sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending, saying, Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate!


O Jerusalem, you must be instructed, lest My soul depart from you; lest I make you desolate, a land without people.


As they called them, so they went from them. They sacrifice to the Baals, and burn incense to graven images.


And My people are bent on backsliding from Me. Though they called them to the Most High, none at all would exalt Him.


Woe to them! For they have fled from Me. Ruin to them! Because they have sinned against Me. Though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against Me.


Be not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have proclaimed to them, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and your evil doings. But they did not hear nor listen to Me, says Jehovah.


And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come.


And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them.


and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.


Therefore you are witnesses to yourselves, that you are the sons of those who killed the prophets;


Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for your reward in Heaven is great. For so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.


And he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and entreated him.


who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, also driving us out and they do not please God and being contrary to all men,


And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with a great marveling.


May Jehovah repay your work, and may a full reward be given you from Jehovah, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to trust.
