Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion and released him and forgave him the debt.


So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry. And they came and told their lord all that was done.


Should you not also have pitied your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?


His lord answered and said to him, Evil and slothful servant! You knew that I reaped where I did not sow, and gathered where I did not scatter,


And he said to him, I will judge you out of your own mouth, wicked servant! You knew that I was a harsh man, taking up what I had not laid down and reaping what I did not sow.


But we know that whatever things the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law; so that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may be under judgment before God,


For he who has shown no mercy shall have judgment without mercy, and mercy exults over judgment.
