And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it! The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life.


And David said, What do I have to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be my foes today? Shall there be any man put to death today in Israel? For do I not know that I am king over Israel today?


And Satan stood up against Israel and provoked David to take a census of Israel.


And He shall be a sanctuary for you, but for a stone of stumbling, and for a rock of falling to both the houses of Israel, for a trap and for a snare to the people of Jerusalem.


Then Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him, saying, God be gracious to You, Lord! This shall never be to You.


Woe to the world because of offenses! For it is necessary that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!


Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve."


But when He had turned around and looked on His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Go behind Me, Satan! For you do not mind the things of God, but of the things of men.


And Jesus answered and said to him, Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve."


Jesus answered them, Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? And one of you is a devil?


Then let us not judge one another any more, but rather judge this, not to put a stumbling-block or an offense toward his brother.


It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything by which your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.
