And he looked, and, behold, a cake was baked on the coals, and a jug of water at his head. And he ate and drank, and lay down again.


As a father pities his children, Jehovah pities those who fear Him.


The eyes of all wait on You; and You give them their food in due season.


Jehovah is gracious and full of pity; slow to anger, and of great mercy.


He will turn again; He will have pity on us. He will trample our iniquities. Yea, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.


And Jesus went out and saw a great crowd, and He was moved with compassion toward them. And He healed their sick.


So Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.


But seeing the crowds, He was moved with compassion on them, because they were tired and scattered like sheep having no shepherd.


And Jesus, moved with compassion, put out His hand and touched him, and said to him, I will; be clean!


However Jesus did not allow him, but said to him, Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and has had mercy on you.


And they departed by boat into a deserted place.


And going out Jesus saw a large crowd. And He was moved with compassion toward them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And He began to teach them many things.


And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint in the way. For many of them come from afar.


And oftentimes it has cast him into the fire and into the waters to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.


And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.


And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep.


Therefore in all things it behoved him to be made like His brothers, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of His people.


For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted just as we are, yet without sin.


who can have compassion on the ignorant and on those who are out of the way. For he himself also is compassed with weakness.
