And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you tell me nothing but what is true, in the name of Jehovah?


Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him and watched him; I am like a green fir tree. Your fruit is found from Me.


And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.


But Jesus was silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.


And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.


And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?


saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God.


But He was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, Are you the Christ, the son of the Blessed?


And unclean spirits, when they saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried, saying, You are the Son of God!


And when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped Him,


For He said to him, Come out of the man, unclean spirit!


He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God shall give Him the throne of His father David.


saying, Let us alone! What is to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God.


But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return. And your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.


And seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell down before Him and said with a loud voice, What is to me and to You, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I beseech You, Do not torment me!


But these are written so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life in His name.
