And Jehovah repented that He had made man on the earth, and He was angry to His heart.


And the king answered and said to the man of God, Seek now the face of Jehovah your God, and pray for me, and my hand may be given back to me again. And the man of God prayed to Jehovah, and the king's hand was given back to him again, and became as at the beginning.


And it grieved me very much. And I threw all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the room.


For forty years I was grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they have not known My ways;


Then He said to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out, and it was restored whole like the other.


And He said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? To save life, or to kill? But they were silent.


And the Lord answered him and said, Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the sabbath loosen his ox or ass from the stall and lead it away, to give it drink?


And seeing them, He said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And it happened, as they went, that they were cleansed.


And looking around on them all, He said to the man, Stretch out your hand! And he did so. And his hand was restored whole like the other.


And He said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which translated is Sent). Therefore he went and washed and came seeing.


For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, lest you should be wise within yourselves; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the nations has comes in.


(But their thoughts were blinded; for until the present the same veil remains on the reading of the old covenant, not taken away.) But this veil has been done away in Christ.


having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.


Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your wrath,

And Jonathan rose from the table in fierce anger, and did not eat food on the second day of the new moon. For he was grieved for David, because his father had put him to shame.
