And it happened, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the earth to Jehovah, bowing himself to the earth.


And they answered, Your servant, our father, is in good health. He is still alive. And they bowed down their heads and fell before him.


Yet I have left seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth which has not kissed him.


Is it good that He should search you out? Or as one man mocks another, do you mock Him?


They who sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.


I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.


So says Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation hates, the servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, rulers also shall worship, because of Jehovah who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You.


I gave My back to the strikers, and My cheeks to pluckers; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.


Just as many were astonished at You (so much was the disfigurement from man, His appearance and His form from the sons of mankind);


Now gather yourself in troops, daughter of a troop; one sets a siege against us; they shall strike the Judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.


And spitting at Him, they took the reed and struck at His head.


And they will mock Him, and will scourge Him, and will spit on Him, and will kill Him. And the third day He shall rise again.


And some began to spit on Him, and to cover His face and to beat Him, and to say to Him, Prophesy! And the under-officers struck Him with slaps.

And when they had mocked Him, they took the purple off Him and put His own clothes on Him and led Him out to crucify Him.


And He answered and told them, Elijah truly does come first and restores all things. And how has it been written of the Son of Man that He should suffer many things and be despised?


And the men who held Jesus mocked Him, beating Him.


And humiliating Him with his guardsmen, and mocking Him by putting luxurious clothing around Him, Herod sent Him again to Pilate.


And coming near, the soldiers also mocked Him, and offering Him sour wine,


But what does the Divine answer say to him? "I have reserved to Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal."


that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth;


Therefore let us go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.
