The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Jehovah shall be safe.


I gave My back to the strikers, and My cheeks to pluckers; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.


And they shall deliver Him to the nations to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He shall rise again.


Then he released Barabbas to them. And when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.


And they will mock Him, and will scourge Him, and will spit on Him, and will kill Him. And the third day He shall rise again.


Then Pilate said to them, Why? What evil has he done? And they much more cried out, Crucify him!


And they will scourge Him and put Him to death, and the third day He will rise again.


Therefore I will chastise Him and release Him.


Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and flogged Him.


Then he delivered Him up to them that He might be crucified. And they took Jesus and led Him away.


But after two years Felix welcomed a successor, Porcius Festus. And wishing to show a favor to the Jews, Felix left Paul bound.


But Festus, wanting to please the Jews, answered Paul and said, Will you go up to Jerusalem and be judged there before me about these things?


But I saw no other of the apostles, except James the Lord's brother.


He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.
