And it happened when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God who had cried against the altar in Bethel, he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him! And his hand, which he put forth against him withered up so that he could not pull it in again to himself.


Woe to the worthless shepherd who abandons the flock! The sword shall be on his arm and on his right eye; his arm shall be completely dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.


And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.


And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.


And answering, Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?


And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And, as His custom was, He went in to the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read.


And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.


And it happened on the second chief sabbath, He went through the grain fields. And His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate, rubbing them in their hands.


And He said to them, The Son of Man is Lord also of the sabbath.


In these lay a great multitude of those who were sick, of blind, lame, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.


Therefore some of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he does not keep the sabbath. Others said, How can a man, a sinner, do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
