Then Pilate said to them, Why? What evil has he done? And they much more cried out, Crucify him!


And the people stood watching. And also the rulers with them, scoffing, saying, He saved others, let Him save Himself, if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.


and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to the judgment of death, and have crucified Him.


Still, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe on Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;


Pilate said to Him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, I find no fault in him.


Then Pilate went out again and said to them, Behold, I bring him out to you so that you may know that I find no fault in him.


And there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.


But lo, he speaks publicly, and they say nothing to him. Perhaps the rulers truly know that this is the Christ indeed?


Is it not true that not any of the rulers or of the Pharisees have believed into him?


For those living in Jerusalem, and their rulers, not having known this One, and the voices of the Prophets being read throughout every sabbath, condemning Him, they fulfilled the Scriptures.


And now, brothers, I know that you did it through ignorance, as also your rulers did.
