And You will save the afflicted people, but Your eyes are on the proud, whom You bring low.


And the king said to Haman, Make haste! Take the clothing and the horse, as you have said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king's gate. Do not fail to do any of all the things you have spoken.


For they have humiliated you, and you shall say, Pride! And He shall save the lowly of eyes.


Though Jehovah is high, yet He has respect to the lowly; but the proud He knows afar off.


For You will save the afflicted people, but will bring down high looks.


The fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.


Before shattering, the heart of man is proud, and before honor is humility.


It is not good to eat much honey; so for men to search their own glory is not glory.


A man's pride shall bring him low; but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.


The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the pride of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.


And the pride of man shall be bowed down, and the loftiness of men shall be made low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.


For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity; whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself shall be abased, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.


But let the humble brother rejoice in his exaltation;


Be humbled before the Lord, and He will lift you up.


But He gives more grace. Therefore He says, God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.


Likewise, younger ones, be subject to older ones, and all being subject to one another. Put on humility. For God resists proud ones, but He gives grace to the humble.


Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time,


And Samuel said, When you were little in your own sight, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? And Jehovah anointed you king over Israel.
