Give a share to seven, and also to eight; for you know not what evil shall be on the earth.


Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your own flesh?


And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no loaves.


Give to him who asks of you, and you shall not turn away from him who would borrow from you.


And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tempted Him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?


But give alms of such things as you have, and behold, all things are clean to you.


And He spoke a parable to them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully.


And he said, I will do this. I will pull down my barns and build bigger ones, and I will store all my fruits and my goods there.


And He said to His disciples, Therefore I say to you, Be not anxious as to your life, what you shall eat; nor for the body, what you shall put on.


And do not seek what you shall eat, nor what you shall drink, and stop being in anxiety.


Sell what you have and give alms. Make for yourselves purses which do not become old, an unfailing treasure in Heaven, where no thief comes nor moth corrupts.


And the steward said within himself, What shall I do? For my lord is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg.


And I say to you, Make friends by the mammon of unrighteousness for yourselves, so that when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting dwellings.


And when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, Yet you lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me.


And he said to him, Well done, good servant, because you have been faithful in a least thing, have authority over ten cities.


He answered and said to them, He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. And he who has food, let him do likewise.


And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?


And hearing this, they were stabbed in the heart, and said to Peter and to the other apostles, Men, brothers, what shall we do?


distributing to the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.


Charge the rich in this world that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, He offering to us richly all things to enjoy,


By this we have known the love of God, because He laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
