He who despises his neighbor sins, but he who has mercy on the poor, happy is he.


For I desired mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.


He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you but to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?


even as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.


Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and you have left undone the weightier matters of the Law, judgment, mercy, and faith. You ought to have done these and not to leave the other undone.
