They drive him from light to darkness, and they make him flee from the world.


When I looked for good, then evil came; and when I waited for light, then darkness came.


Therefore judgment is far from us; nor does justice overtake us. We wait for light, but behold, dimness; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.


Give glory to Jehovah your God, before He causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, He turns it into the shadow of death, setting up deep gloom.
